Enjoy Jersey in a classic car

Triumph Stag V8 Manual

The Triumph Stag was introduced in June 1970 with a unique 3.0-litre V8 engine. The Mark II Stag arrived in February 1973 with many revisions. The Stag had its best annual sales in that year with almost 5500 buyers and the model’s future looked particularly bright if road tests at the time were to be believed. Most pundits praised Triumph’s new V8 for its style, refinement and quality, plus its fine touring ability. Five decades on and you can now add durability!

The number plate tells you that this car first hit the road in 1973 and has spent its entire life in Jersey, for some time in the hands of a local politician. Boasting a manual gearbox, this Stag is a little more spritely than our other offering, providing a good sense of speed without actually travelling too fast. 4-seater cruising at its best, the burbling V8 exhaust note is intoxicating and helps provide that feeling of being in a classic ‘70’s British sports car.
